Concern for Safety 

We have taken steps to assist in the health and safety of our clients and staff as well their families. Maintaining a healthy and safe environment is one of our main priorities during the COVID-19 pandemic and in general. Since the COVID-19 pandemic we have been taking extra precautions to ensure that each client that enters our facility not only feels safe but is safe.

We have implemented the following measures in response to COVID-19:

Mandatory Face Masks/ Coverings

  • As per Governor Hogan’s orders all persons who enter our facilities are required to wear a face mask or covering to prevent the spread of germs. 
  • Mask are given to those that arrive without proper face covering.

Social Distancing

  • Only one client is permitted at the window area and in the hallway at any given time.
  • Signs are posted as a reminder to remain at least six feet apart.
  • We are also only allowing a limited number of clients in the facility at one time.
  • Our staff are strongly enforcing these new policies to ensure that each client may safely receive their treatment. 
  • Telehealth services have been implemented to aide in limiting face to face contact of lengthy duration
  • In person group session have been replaced with groups using the Zoom Platform

Limited Visitors

  • At this time visitors are not permitted in the facility, exception child with their parents. This is to prevent the spread of germs and avoid unnecessary exposure to clients and staff. 

Hand Sanitizing Stations

  • We have increased the number of hand sanitizing areas as well as posted signs about frequent hand washing and covering your coughs/sneezes. 

Increased Cleaning

  • We have increased cleaning to promote a safe and healthy environment for our clients and staff.
  • We also ensure that high traffic/touch areas (medicating windows/ door knobs/ chairs/ telephones/ etc.) are sanitized frequently and/or after each use.

Additional Information

  • We have handouts and posters with updated information regarding COVID-19.
  • We have COVID-19 self-screen directives posted on the front entry door of the program (prior to access to the building) with instructions to call as oppose to entering if they say yes to any screen question
  • Each client is assessed again once they are in the lobby and prior to being check-in using a screening tool.
  • We social media and the program website to update the clients and their family of any changes that may occur secondary to COVID-19.
